Welcome to Gympie's Corbet's Group Mothar Mountain Speedway site. Our speedway is the home of many current and former State and National Champions, thus it's title "The Home of Champions."
Mothar Mountain Speedway is a unique Australian track in that its undulating "kidney" shape incorporates a tight hairpin bend. The track's history dates back to the early 1960s. Motorcycles raced around the challenging layout in the early days. Today sees speedway racing in a variety of classes from Junior Sedans, National 4's, Street Stocks, Production Sedans, Modified Sedans, Super Sedans, Late Models, AMCA and a selection of open wheelers.
Spectators are well catered for with 2 canteens for food and beverage, each with licensed areas. Sight lines and viewing is good from the many different points around the track, there are several viewing stands situated around the track and terraced banking - each spot having its own very different aspect.
The track surface receives a regulated topping of clay resurfacing, making track preparation manageable, predictable and reliable.
