Welcome to Gympie's Corbet's Group Mothar Mountain Speedway site. Our speedway is the home of many current and former State and National Champions, thus it's title "The Home of Champions."
Mothar Mountain Speedway is a unique Australian track in that its undulating "kidney" shape incorporates a tight hairpin bend. The track's history dates back to the early 1960s. Motorcycles raced around the challenging layout in the early days. Today sees speedway racing in a variety of classes from Junior Sedans, National 4's, Street Stocks, Production Sedans, Modified Sedans, Super Sedans, Late Models, AMCA and a selection of open wheelers.
Spectators are well catered for with 2 canteens for food and beverage, each with licensed areas. Sight lines and viewing is good from the many different points around the track, there are several viewing stands situated around the track and terraced banking - each spot having its own very different aspect.
The track surface receives a regulated topping of clay resurfacing, making track preparation manageable, predictable and reliable.

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT NOTICE TO THE FANS OF CORBET'S GROUP MOTHAR MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY
The Gympie Saloon Car Club operators of Corbet's Group Mothar Mountain Speedway wish to announce that the speedway complex is a SMOKE FREE ZONE.
This fact is following the government regulations regarding smoking at sporting complexes.
Smoking areas are set aside at both sides of the speedway track.
Glass containers / bottles are also banned from the speedway complex.
Please follow these directions and enjoy your night on the Mountain.
Entry to Corbet's Group Mothar Mountain Speedway
Because of the highway road works that are being carried out at the front of the Speedway Complex, there will be NO PARKING available along Old Noosa Road for some time to come.
To alleviate this problem, fans who normally park along Old Noosa Road will be able to use spectator parking that will be available at the bottom of the pit area near the railway line. Entry to this parking area will be through the bottom / competitor entry gate. From there, spectators will be able to make their way to their favourite viewing area.
The bottom / competitor entry gate will be open from 12:00 midday and the top / spectator gate from 3:00pm.
With road work and cramped spaces, things will be a little different; but speedway fans will cope easily.
One thing that will not change, is the action on the Mountain will be of the highest quality.
SEE YOU THERE!

Many thanks, once again, for the continued support of Corbet's Group with all of the happenings at Corbet's Group Mothar Mountain Speedway.
